Job description
Lead Deckhand required for a well-established world cruising 50m Private Motor Yacht, the ideal candidate will have proven longevity & experience working on similar sized vessels with good deck maintenance experience, excellent product knowledge and an eye for detail in all aspects of their work and appearance.
The candidate will be expected to lead by example and show initiative where necessary and be able to solve problems as they occur.
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring seafarer wanting to gain experience and longevity. Senior crew onboard are willing and able to help train and guide them in progressing their own careers into junior management.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to step into the role as Bosun 12 weeks of the year during their leave periods, this position will require them to work closely with the Chief Officer in aspects of safety & security, it will also demand experience in bridge navigation and good seamanship as they will be holding navigational watches and driving tenders regularly.
Requirements
- Yachtmaster (OOW modules a huge bonus)
- Updated STCW 2010
- Proficiency in Designated Security Duties
- Valid ENG 1 – Or equivalent
- Driving Licence
- Schengen visa if nationality requires it
- B1/B2 essential
- Covid vaccinated
Work conditions
- Schedule: 3 months on / 1 month off
- Full Time
- DOE with great leave package available.
