Job description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Chef Cook to join our team on board a superyacht based in Monaco.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, and will be responsible for providing high-quality cuisine to the owner, guests and crew on board.
Responsibilities
- Creating and preparing menus to suit the preferences and dietary requirements of guests and crew members, ensuring a variety of dishes are offered at each meal.
- Managing the yacht's provisions, including ordering, receiving and storing provisions, ensuring quality and freshness of all ingredients.
- Maintaining a clean and organised galley, following all food safety and hygiene standards.
- Cooking and presenting meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, according to the highest culinary standards and presentation.
- Communicating with guests and crew members to understand their preferences and dietary requirements and adjusting menus accordingly.
- Managing the galley budget and working with the yacht’s management team to control costs while delivering exceptional cuisine.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a Chef Cook on board a superyacht
- Proficient in a variety of cuisines, and able to create menus that meet guests’ and crew members’ preferences and dietary requirements.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, with a track record of maintaining a clean and organised galley.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with guests and crew members to ensure their culinary preferences are met.
- Ability to work independently, manage the galley budget, and work within a team environment.
- Fluent in English, with knowledge of French or other languages being an advantage.
