Job description
A family consisting of two adults and two children aged 2 and 4 is looking for an experienced nanny with the necessary qualifications to work aboard a yacht. This is a one-week contract (from September 23rd to September 29th, 2023) aboard a magnificent 37-meter yacht.
The yacht will be sailing along the French Riviera (Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat - Nice - Cannes - Antibes).
The person will be responsible for taking care of the children on board the yacht during the absence of the parents and the family, along with another nanny. The candidate will not be provided with accommodation and should report to the port every morning.
Responsibilities
- Take care of the children on a daily basis in a nurturing family environment.
- Organize fun, educational, and creative activities.
- Supervise daily routines (naps, activities, baths, meals, etc.).
- Establish and maintain good communication with the other nanny and the parents.
- Respect and adapt to the preferences and needs of the parents regarding discipline, routines, activities, and living or travel arrangements.
- Ensure the safety of the children.
- Flexibility in the evenings and on weekends.
Requirements
- Male or female with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience as a nanny on yachts is a significant asset.
- Up-to-date STCW certification.
- Good adaptability.
- Warm, dynamic, and flexible personality.
- Compassionate and reassuring.
- Demonstrates autonomy, responsibility, and complete trustworthiness.
- Respects the confidentiality and discretion of the family's private information.
- Valid European passport.
- Ability to work at sea and away from home for a minimum of 2 months.
- Fluent in English.
