Job description
Our client is looking for a Sailor/Steward(ess) for his 24m private-use catamaran to ensure onboard maintenance and assist the Captain during maneuvers.
Position available from April/May (2024).
Fixed-term contract until October – shared cabin accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance of cabins, toilets, corridors, stairs, lounge, deck, etc.
- Ensure permanent tidiness including the rear deck (table, benches, beach towels dried and rolled in the basket, toys, etc.)
- Preparation of cabins before the arrival of the shipowner
- Management of cleaning products
- Running errands as requested
- Management of onboard linen and laundry (washing and drying)
- Assistance to the Captain during maneuvers
- Driving and maintenance of the tender
- Interface with the Captain
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Up-to-date ENG1 STCW 2010
- Dynamic, versatile individual with a sense of service onboard
- Good interpersonal skills
- Discretion required
- Organizational skills with excellent listening abilities
- Good ability to work in a team
- Knowledge of cleaning products (eco-friendly/bio)
- Speak French and/or Italian and/or English
- Driving license is a plus
