Job description

Our client is looking for a Captain for their 24-meter catamaran, responsible for navigation and crew management.

The boat is based in Italy.
Fixed-term contract - Position available from March to October

Responsibilities

In charge of navigation and planning cruises with the shipowner
Ensure safety onboard
Responsible for the proper functioning of onboard equipment (rigging and navigation equipment)
Update internal procedures as needed
Management and control of fuel supply
Handling maneuvers (hoisting, reefing sails, docking, mooring, anchoring, etc.)
Management and supervision of the team (chef, steward/sailor)
In charge of recruitment if needed
Relationship with local authorities (Harbour Master)
Management of expenses and reporting to the shipowner
Respond to the shipowner's requests

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar professional setting
Captain 200
ENG1
STCW95 (2010)
Dynamic, autonomous, and versatile person
Flexibility and availability required
Good knowledge of marine mechanics
Sense of discretion with good interpersonal skills
Fluent in French and English
Driving license required
