Job description
Morgan & Mallet International is seeking a qualified and reliable Deckhand / Seaman for a private 57 ft Motor Yacht cruising the Mediterranean.
This is a long-term position on a private family vessel — not a charter boat. The owner sails the yacht himself and expects a professional, discreet, and motivated crew member to support him on board.
The Vessel 57 ft Motor Yacht | Isle of Man flag | 3 guest cabins + crew quarters | Mediterranean season | Off-season: Cyprus.
The principal is looking for a reliable, discreet, and hardworking individual who takes initiative, follows instructions, and understands the importance of professionalism in a private environment. Cleanliness is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Assist with navigation, plotting, and weather forecasting.
- Deck operations: rope handling, anchoring, mooring.
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of all deck areas.
- Technical follow-up and routine vessel maintenance.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness throughout the vessel.
- Communicate effectively with the owner and his wife.
Requirements
- Valid Seaman Book — mandatory
- Master 200 certification — required
- STCW certification — required
- Experience on vessels up to 30 metres
- Skipper licence — preferred
- Male or female
- English-speaking
Work conditions
- Start date: Mid-June
- Joining: South of France or Montenegro
- Contract: Long-term
Salary
Between €2,500 and €3,000/month
