Job description
We are seeking a professional and personable Female Yacht Captain to take command of a 35-metre private motor yacht based in Dubai, dedicated to family leisure use.
This role is strongly lifestyle-oriented, with a focus on creating a calm, refined, and enjoyable onboard environment for the owner and guests.
The Captain will be responsible not only for the safe navigation and operation of the yacht, but also for ensuring a discreet, welcoming, and well-organised atmosphere at all times.
The yacht will be used primarily for day trips and future weekend outings, requiring a Captain who is attentive, service-minded, and comfortable in a private family setting. A warm, respectful approach, strong interpersonal skills, and cultural awareness are essential.
In addition to guest-facing responsibilities, the Captain will maintain full operational control of the vessel, including safety management, crew supervision, technical oversight, maintenance planning, and regulatory compliance. The yacht must be kept in a constant state of readiness, with smooth, stress-free operations for the owner and guests.

Responsibilities

Full command and safe operation of a 35m motor yacht, including navigation, maneuvering, and mooring in UAE waters.

Voyage planning, including routing, weather assessment, and compliance with all maritime regulations.

Safety management, including safety drills, emergency preparedness, and crew training.

Technical oversight of onboard systems, machinery, and equipment, coordinating maintenance and servicing proactively.

Crew leadership, supervision, and maintaining a professional and organised onboard environment.

Ensuring a smooth, guest-focused experience for the family during day trips and future weekend outings.

Regulatory compliance, ensuring all vessel documentation, certifications, and crew requirements remain updated.

Overall vessel readiness, ensuring the yacht is always in top condition and ready for use at any time.

Requirements

Valid Captain’s license appropriate for a 35m motor yacht (MCA / RYA or equivalent).

STCW certification up to date.

ENG1 or equivalent medical certificate.

Strong knowledge of UAE maritime regulations and local operating procedures

Proven experience as a Captain or Senior Officer on yachts of similar size.

Background in private yachting preferred (family use rather than heavy charter).
