Job description

Our client, based in Monaco, is seeking an experienced Yacht Chef capable of delivering high-quality, varied, and balanced cuisine.

The Chef will work either on board the yacht, cooking for both the crew and the owner, or at the owner’s private residence, depending on operational needs.

This is a fixed-term contract (CDD) from May through the end of October, under a Seafarer (Gens de Mer) contract.

Responsibilities

Propose menus tailored to the owner’s preferences and expectations.
Prepare meals for the crew on board (approximately 10 people).
Plate dishes with attention to presentation.
Provide plated service and/or family-style service, assisted by a stewardess.
Deliver healthy, refined, and well-executed cuisine.
Work primarily with fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Prepare homemade desserts.
Ensure menus comply with any dietary restrictions, allergies, or intolerances.
Manage food provisioning, purchasing, stock control, and storage.
Carry out grocery shopping and supplier coordination.
Maintain and manage the kitchen areas both on board and at the owner’s residence.
Strictly follow hygiene, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
Professional culinary qualification required
STCW, ENG1, and HACCP certifications required
Ship’s Cook Certificate is an advantage
Autonomous, well-organized, and reliable
Strong ability to produce refined, high-quality cuisine
Creative mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Comfortable working both on board and ashore
Willing to travel during private cruises
Availability and flexibility appreciated
Absolute discretion and confidentiality required
Fluent in French and English
Valid driving licence required

€9,000 gross per month, depending on experience and profile
