Job description
We are looking for a Steward/Stewardess to join the crew of a classic 36-metre motor yacht, built in 1936, sailing under the Monegasque flag and based in Monaco.
A vessel of timeless character and historic elegance, she is privately owned by a high-profile principal. The yacht is actively used, with the owner and their family spending extended periods on board throughout the season.
With a crew of six, life on board is intimate and demanding, with a strong emphasis on discreet, family-style service delivered to a consistently high standard. This is a unique opportunity to work aboard a truly iconic yacht with a rich history.
Responsibilities
- Discreet, family-style, professional service
- Fish carving
- No plated service
- Self-service minibar – beverage stocking
- Housekeeping, interior management, impeccable upkeep of the boat's interior at all time
- Laundry and ironing on board
- 5 cabins for 8 passengers
- Occasional receptions and large buffets
- Minimalist turn-down service with soft lighting and refreshing of cabins and bathrooms before bedtime
Requirements
- Excellent team spirit
- Previous experience as a steward
- Demanding working conditions — small cabin, long working days
- Fluent in English and/or French; bilingual candidates are strongly preferred
- Well-presented, discreet, and respectful of privacy
- Adaptable and comfortable with family-style, yet professional service
- Proactive, organised, and detail-oriented
- Able to work autonomously as well as part of a small crew
- Positive attitude and ability to remain composed under pressure
Work conditions
- Position: Steward (male, cabin management) – Seasonal Vessel: M/Y, 36m (built in 1936)
- Flag: Monaco
- Home port: Monaco
- Crew: 6 members Accommodation: Shared cabin with 2 male crew members
- Duration: 3 months – starting June 1st Handover period: 15 days
