Yacht laundry master / laundress is responsible for maintenance and ironing of all the linen on board. The various missions that may be requested are washing, ironing, pressing and folding.
The person should be able to handle tasks relating to clothes, bed sheets, carpets and curtains, and will work in a laundry cabin on the yacht.
STW95 license is required for this position.
Job responsibilities of a Yacht Laundry Master / Laundress Steward/ess on a yacht
- Ensure the maintenance of all the linen on the yacht (of clients, crew, owners)
- Washing, ironing, pressing, folding
- Performance of tasks relating to clothes and bed sheets
- Knowledge of care for delicate materials (leather, suede)
- Cooperation with other services
- Inventory management of products intended for the laundry
- Ensure the proper storage of the linen and uniforms of the yacht’s crew
