Second Steward/ess is the person assisting the Chief Steward (ess) aboard the yacht. He/she is the main support in the yacht’s interior organisation and should have a versatile profile.
He/she may interact directly with the guests and participate in entertaining and events on the yacht. Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry protocols as well as skills related to fine dining and wine are required for the position.
The person should be organised and competent in carrying out administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should be experienced in yachting.
An STW95 licence is required for this position.
Job responsibilities of the Second Steward(ess) on a yacht
Table service (drinks and dishes)
Service in cabins and on the yacht
Polishing of glassware, cutlery, silverware
Assisting the Chief Steward(ess) daily
Perform administrative tasks, where necessary
Inventory management
Replenishment of chilled beverages

Other services upon requests from owners / guests
